IQLabTests Covid-19 testing will determine if you currently have a COVID-19 infection. How is my sample for testing collected?
For the SARS-COV-2 RT PCR that detects active Covid-19 infections, we provide individual instruction from the CDC approved self swab guidelines. This is done by inserting the swab into your nostril approximately 1/2 inch into the nasal passage (midway) with the most visible drainage or the nostril that is most congested if drainage is not present. The swab is rotated several times, removed gently and this process is repeated on the other side.
How and when will I get results?
For the RT-PCR Test, results are returned within 36 hours of specimen collection. When your results are ready, we’ll text you directions to view them in the patient portal you created when you set up your testing appointment.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk-in?
Yes, you can only test with a testing appointment.
Do I need a referral from a medical professional?
No, you do not need a referral for testing.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept all insurance plans.
How old can a patient be to get a COVID-19 test?
Patients can be of ANY age to register for COVID-19 testing. A parent or legal guardian must complete this registration for all minor patients and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to assist with swab collection if under 15 years of age.
Can I bring someone with me or should I come alone?
We understand that you may need to bring someone with you; however, only patients who have qualified and scheduled a visit online can be tested.
Refund Policy
If you are unable to keep your Covid-19 RT-PCR appointment, please adjust your appointment or call us to let us know at least 12 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
Appointments booked same day or within 12 hours are still subject to our cancellation policy.
12 hour or less cancellations are a 50% charge, no shows are a 100% charge.
